Your journal

Dream entries, photos, voice notes, symbol meanings, training progress, and saved reflections are stored locally with iOS file protection. No email account is required. Stillmoon does not sync your journal to its servers. Your iPhone backup settings determine whether the device includes app data in its own backups.

When you ask for AI

Only after you confirm, the selected dream text, recorded feeling, symbols, language, and any context or related entries you choose are sent through our service to OpenAI. Follow-up questions also include the saved reflection and up to six recent question-and-answer pairs. Audio and photos are not included. Results are subjective reflection prompts, not diagnoses or predictions.

Processing and retention

Our service does not store dream text or responses on disk. A response remains in memory for up to five minutes for retry recovery. Request IDs, content fingerprints, and usage metadata are retained for up to seven days; monthly allowance totals expire in the following calendar month. OpenAI API retention policies apply. Requests use store: false; this does not disable all provider retention. See OpenAI’s data controls.

Device verification and purchases

Apple App Attest verifies requests. The service stores the device-generated public key and counter, and derives an installation-scoped RevenueCat identifier to check Plus access. Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives purchase and anonymous customer information. Journal content is never included in purchase or advertising records.

Attribution

Apple AdServices can associate an Apple Ads installation with its campaign. Stillmoon does not request IDFA or track you across other companies’ apps. Home and Lock Screen widgets show generic actions, not private dream content.

Voice and device intelligence

Microphone access is requested when you record. Speech transcription runs on-device where supported; otherwise your recording is retained without transcription. Optional Apple Intelligence reflections run on-device. Image Playground uses the provider options disclosed by Apple. Photos use Apple’s limited photo picker.

Your choices

You may edit or delete dreams, export text, disable reminders, and use app lock. Exported files are readable by anyone you share them with. Removing the app removes its local journal. Manage subscription cancellation separately in your Apple Account. For help, use the support page below.
